Queen of the Pugs

This is a pug appreciation post. Pugs are the greatest. I know some people don't like them, claiming that they "look like they ran into a wall with their face". How dare you. Pugs are so cute.
I didn't always love pugs. In fact, for a while I never even gave them a second thought. But it all changed when I met my best friend Rebecca. (Have I showed Rebecca on here yet? Probably not because SHE'S BEEN OUT OF THE COUNTRY THE WHOLE SUMMER LIKE A BIG JERK I MISS HER SO MUCH HOW COULD SHE LEAVE ME ALL THIS TIME UGH can you tell I miss her and I'm bitter about it?) She is obsessed with pugs and it totally rubbed off on me. She is trying to tell me I have no right to claim the title "Queen of the Pugs" but there's nothing she can do about it. That's what she gets for leaving me.
My lovely friend Mary Kate lets me come see her pugs whenever I want. Sorry, Mary Kate... I'm only your friend for the pugs. Haha!

There's Mary Kate.. She was my beautiful lunch date.

That is the face of true happiness. P.S. do you like the shirt I got at Topshop in UK? hehehe.

This is my "Suck it Rebecca" face.

I LOVE YOOOUUUUU.

That is all. May your day be feeled with much happiness and many pugs.

Birthday Date

Every year, I get to pick a meal to commemorate the day of my birth. I usually pick the Cheesecake Factory. Because.... duh. It's delicious.
We finally went to my birthday meal.... 3 months late. I took my besie Rachel along because her birthday is tomorrow! It worked out perfectly.

Aren't we cute?

Cheesecake AKA heaven. We both got the 30th anniversary cheesecake. It's incredilbe.

Then we stopped by Anthro, of course. I tried not to spend TOO much money.. but I just had to buy the adorable watch I found. It was on clearance... So that's okay right??

Then of course we stopped by to see my niece. It was sort of not really on the way home so it was justified... I was wearing red lipstick but she leaned in to give me a kiss. Who could resist that face??

Then we saw a beautiful sunset. Who says Texas isn't pretty???? Crazy people. P.S. We trespassed to take that picture. Hehe.

Selfie on private property. You have to take a selfie if you're trespassing right? Pics or it didn't happen.

Family Hang Out Sesh

This is probably the most pointless blog post ever. But really who cares? Because who even reads it? Hahaha.

I love days when I don't have to work! They are so relaxing. On my long day off of work, I went and got a pedicure with my mom. Yes, I know, perks of being the youngest child. ;) (suck it, siblings.)

"Mom make a sassy face."

"Now make a happy face."

Don't our tosies look cute?

And my niece, of course. Her thoughts: Hm this looks pretty. Let's see how it tastes.

I guess it tasted pretty good!

She loves her new swing. P.S. I taught her how to make that face.

Look at her little fluff of her flapping in the wind.

She's my eternal selfie buddy.

Why is my brother wearing a diaper on his head? Who knows. Let's hope it wasn't a dirty one.

July Festivities

I know we are only 10 days into July, but it has been so fun so far. Also, I'm laying in bed with a really bad cold or strep throat or flu... I don't know what but it is bad. The point is that I really don't have anything better to do. Here is a little glimpse of what I have done in these past 10 days.

I had to work on the Fourth of July. Can you believe it???? My employers are all un-American commies. Just kidding... but I wasn't super thrilled about it. But I did show my patriotism with these amazing socks. Shoutout to my manager Eddie for letting me wear them and show my American pride.

I made this super yummy trifle! It looks awful in the picture because I don't have a nice camera yet and take lovely iphone pictures..

I rode like a dog in our Jeep. And I look like a frog. Lovely.

I laughed for almost ten minutes at this tweet.

I got dragged to the Crocs store after work... I wanted to barf. I am so embarrassed to say that my parents wear Crocs. Bless their sweet hearts. But to their credit, they only wear Croc flip flops.

I saw my DREAM CAR. Ya'll. I have wanted this car for years. It is my ultimate hippie dream car!! P.S. My shirt says "Don't Tread on Me." I love it.

I got these super awesome Vans as an oober late birthday present from my brother and his wife! (My birthday is in April.... better late than never I guess.)

Then I went to stay at their house for a couple days! My niece loves posing for selfies. We are best buds.

Having someone smile at you like that... It's like nothing else in the world.

I made this DELICIOUS S'mores pie from scratch. I consider myself a master baker. It doesn't look that good in the picture becuase the marshmallows didn't toast quite like I wanted them to... But it was the best thing ever!!

I took my niece swimming!

She got stuck in the pool chair. This is her "Really? You're just gonna stand there and take a picture of me instead of help me get outta here?" face.

Posing with a baby is hard when they just want to crawl around and eat everything they see.

So cute. P.S. you can find a bunch of these pictures and more on my instagram (username @hannahmon)

I hope you have been enjoying July as much as I have! Here's to the next 21 days being just as groovy.

Last Train to London

When my mom was attending BYU, she studied abroad in London. That's probably why I love London so much. Before I left, she told me that when she and her friends were packing up, they listened to Last Train to London by ELO. Every time she hears that song, she remembers her time there. I thought that was so cute so I kept the tradition up. My roommate Casie and I listened to it while we packed up! I dream of doing study abroad in London, just like my mom. We will see where life takes me :).

Anyways, here are my pictures from London. These are combined from two days. I actually didn't take as many pictures in London because we were so busy and I was living it up. But I snapped some pics of the important touristy things, of course.

The London Eye!

Big Ben! The clock tower is officially titled the Elizabeth Tower. (Big Ben is the official name of the bell inside.) But we will all probably forever call the tower Big Ben.

This is my childhood friend, Kaitlin. We've dreamt of going to England since we were itty bitty!

The Tower of London... DUN DUN DUN DUUNNNNNN.

Tower Bridge.

St. Paul's Cathedral. My choir actually sang in there!! Isn't that amazing??? It was such an amazing experience. I mean, who else can say they've sung there?!

Of course I took a picture in a phone booth. Are you even allowed to go to London and not take a picture in a phone booth?

The British Museum

Miniature viking ships

We got to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the West End! If you ever get the chance to see this musical, DO IT. It was by far the best musical I have ever seen. I'm not saying it's my favorite, because Les Mis will forever hold that title. But this one was so entertaining. The music was good, the costumes were incredible, the lines were hilarious, and the production was just stunning!

Those are the last of my UK pictures. I hope I gave you a little glimpse of the amazing trip I had. If you get the chance, PLEASE go to the UK! It is incredible. But America is still the best ever. 'Merica.

P.S. Here is Last Train to London if you have never heard it. Enjoy. It's groovy.
